Brief Biography:
He was reliable. He was alive in the time of the Messenger of Allah (saw) but did not see him. It is reported that he lived for about 130 years. He served as a sergeant ('arif). He died in Basra at the beginning of the governorship of Al-Hajjaj ibn Yusuf over Iraq. He moved from Kufa to Basra for he refused to be in the city where the nephew of the Prophet was killed.
